Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Akram Trading collects through akramtrading.com, why we collect it and how we look after it. Akram Trading is based in Karachi, Pakistan.
What we collect
- Enquiry details. When you use our request for quotation form or email us, we receive the information you give us: your name, company, email address, country and the details of your enquiry.
- Website usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device, browser and pages visited. It does not tell us who you are.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotations and manage any order that follows.
- To keep a record of our business correspondence.
- To understand and improve how the website works.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a newsletter or mailing list without asking.
Who we share it with
Enquiries are delivered to our sales team by email through our web hosting provider. We may share enquiry details with service providers who help us run our business (such as email, hosting and customer management tools), with inspection companies, shipping lines, banks and authorities where this is needed to complete an order, or where the law requires it. Google processes website usage data under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is useful for the business relationship and for our records, and then delete it. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account.
Cookies
The only cookies on this site are the Google Analytics cookies described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. The site works normally without them.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email info@akramtrading.com and we will respond.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
Website terms
- The information on this website is a general description of the products and services we offer. Product availability, specifications, prices and terms are confirmed for each order.
- Nothing on this website is an offer to sell. A quotation becomes binding only when it is confirmed in writing by Akram Trading, and every order is governed by its own proforma invoice, contract or letter of credit.
- We work to keep the information on this site accurate, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or current, and we are not liable for decisions made only on the basis of this website.
- The text, images and logo on this website belong to Akram Trading or are used with permission, and may not be copied without our consent.
- Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
